Nauticam NA-R6III Underwater Housing for the Canon EOS R6 Mark III
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is a hybrid powerhouse built for photographers and filmmakers who want top-notch performance in both realms. The R6III pairs high performance still-shooting capability with cinema-grade, Open Gate video in a compact full-frame body. The Nauticam NA-R6III unlocks that potential beneath the surface. Precision-machined from solid aluminum and hard-anodized for corrosion resistance, it surrounds the camera with Nauticam’s renowned Mission Control ergonomics, N120 port compatibility, and integrated vacuum leak detection for total peace of mind.
Key Features of the Nauticam NA-R6III
-
Mission Control ergonomics: Nauticam positions the controls you use most — ISO, AF-ON, shutter speed and aperture dials, record button, playback and the Fn levers — as close to the handles as possible, so you can adjust settings by feel without ever taking your eye off the subject or your hands off the housing.
-
N120 Auto Lock Port System II: Supports native Canon RF glass as well as adapted EF lenses, plus Nauticam’s full range of water-contact wide and macro optics with a simple push on design that requires no twisting or turning.
-
Vacuum-ready leak detection: Paired with an accessory vacuum valve, the built-in electronic monitoring system gives you a constant, color-coded LED read-out of the housing’s watertight status along with peace of mind during your dive.
-
Flexible flash triggering: Supports both optical fiber triggering and electrical strobe connections for dependable lighting in any configuration.
-
HDMI monitoring ready: HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 bulkhead options drive external underwater monitors and recorders for demanding video work.
Lens & Port Compatibility
The NA-R6III is built around Nauticam’s N120 Auto Lock Port System II, shared across the C50, R6III, and R6V platforms. This large-diameter mount accommodates native Canon RF lenses directly and adapted Canon EF optics with the appropriate mount adapter, giving you access to everything from ultra-wide zooms to dedicated macro primes. A dedicated RF mount lens-release lever and quick port-locking mechanism make lens and port changes fast and secure. Consult the port chart below to confirm the correct port, extension, and zoom or focus gear for your chosen lens.

Hybrid Shooting & HDMI Monitoring
The R6 Mark III is as capable a video camera as it is for stills. The NA-R6III is engineered to keep pace. For filmmakers who want a large, bright reference image, the housing accepts both HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 bulkhead systems to feed external recorders and monitors. The HDMI 2.0 pathway uses the M24 adaptor, while the HDMI 1.4 pathway uses the Standard HDMI bulkhead with M16 thread.
Enhanced Viewfinder Options
Composing a full-frame image through a flat window or a small built in viewfinder can be a challenge in bright, contrasty water or when getting low to the bottom. Nauticam’s optical viewfinders solve this by delivering a large, edge-to-edge magnified view of the camera’s screen. The NA-R6III is compatible with the Nauticam Full Frame Straight Viewfinder 40°/0.8:1 and the Nauticam Full Frame Angle Viewfinder 40°/0.8:1. The straight finder suits general shooting, while the angle finder eases low-angle macro and wide-angle work.
Premium Water-Contact Optics
Perhaps the greatest advantage of the Nauticam system is easy access to Nauticam’s acclaimed water-contact optics. Wide-angle shooters can pair the R5II with the FCP-1, WWL-C or WACP-1B for corner-to-corner sharpness, expansive fields of view, and incredible image quality. On the macro end of things, the MFO-1 delivers edge-to-edge sharpness while improving autofocus performance and providing a small bump in magnification. The MFO-3 expands the field of view of your macro lens, improves autofocus performance, and gives you much greater versatility on a single dive—ideal when you want to move between different-sized subjects. For super-macro fans, the SMC-3 and SMC-2 deliver outstanding magnification and exceptional sharpness across the frame, making them powerful tools for capturing the smallest subjects in remarkable detail.
