With the rising popularity of Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras for underwater imaging, the one disappointment has been the lack of good close focusing wider focal length macro lenses - particularly for blackwater shooting. The MFO-3 is designed to solve that problem and improve almost every aspect of this type of imaging with no need to buy another camera lens and port! Perfect for using long focal length full frame macro lenses (90mm, 100mm, 105mm, even 120mm)) while enabling enhanced focus to the glass performance and maintaining plenty of working room when needed. Not just for blackwater, you can go from a thumbnail size frogfish to grapefruit size frogfish without having to back too far away from your subject. Another game-changing water contact optic from Nauticam. In the chart below you will notice that although the MFO-3 has a larger form factor, it has a lower in-water weight than an SMC-3 for easy handling.
