Inon UWL-S100 ZM80 Wide Conversion Lens
This dual use (land and underwater) wide conversion lens was specially designed for compact cameras which have a lens wider than 28mm (35mm film equivalent).
Many compact cameras with lenses wider than this are not compatible with most wet-mount wide angle conversion lenses. If your camera is one of these, then the UWL-S100 ZM80 lens overcomes this limitation. (See the compatibility charts below.) When using this wide angle conversion lens, the compact camera is zoomed in (toward telephoto) to 80mm focal length (35mm equivalent).
The maximum field of view:
- Underwater: 100°
- On land: 179.8° (fish-eye)
Adding the optional Inon Dome Lens Unit II for UWL-S100 ZM80 will increase maximum field of view to 149.8°underwater for semi-fisheye imaging.
The unique optical design also permits this lens to be used for some types of wide angle macro photography.
The lens construction is 4 elements in 4 groups. The lens surface has a water-shedding coating and inner lenses are multi-coated to suppress reflections and reduce chromatic aberration.
Mounting this lens:
The UWL-S100 ZM80 can be mounted on "LD Mount" systems with the M52-LD Mount Converter.
To mount on 67mm thread mounts, use the Inon M52-M67 Mount Converter or the Nauticam 52mm Coarse Thread to 67mm Fine Thread Adapter.
Normal fine-thread (0.8mm pitch) 52mm to 67mm adapters will not fit this lens.
The lens barrel is threaded to allow adjustment of the lens position to accommodate different master lenses among compact digital cameras.
