The Ikelite 200DLM/D Underwater Housing for the Canon EOS R8 now ships with an integrated fiber optic TTL transmitter, and comes equipped with everything you need to take the camera underwater: dual tray with dual handles, vacuum leak detection system, and a set of spare o-rings.
On release, the Canon EOS R8 in the 200DLM Underwater Housing was the smallest, most powerful compact mirrorless system to date. It is as capable as the Canon EOS R6 Mark II in a form factor roughly half the size and weight. If you can live without a second SD card slot and in-body image stabilization, this is an excellent way into full-frame underwater shooting.
Lens choice, image quality, autofocus performance and capture speed are the greatest strengths of the R8 system. Paired with a DS160 or DS230 strobe you can take advantage of high fps burst shooting to catch the perfect moment on a moving subject.
TTL Automatic Flash
An integrated fiber optic TTL transmitter communicates the camera's flash signals to compatible Ikelite fiber optic strobes for seamless flash integration and accurate exposure on every shot. Flash exposure compensation can be added or subtracted in-camera. Legacy Ikelite DS strobes can be used with full fiber optic TTL functionality by adding an RC2 Fiber Optic Receiver to each strobe (not required for newer Ecko Fiber and RC-series strobes). Non-Ikelite fiber optic strobes can be used in manual exposure modes only.
Peace of Mind Included
The clear housing body lets you see the camera inside, which makes it much easier to adapt to shooting in a housing. The included vacuum leak detection system lets you confirm the seal before you ever get in the water.
Every housing is built in the USA, checked with a camera, and water pressure tested to 200 feet (60 meters) before it ships.
