Nauticam Mid-range Focus Optimizer 1 (MFO-1)
Nauticam's Mid-range Focus Optimizer is designed with several objectives in mind: first, it eliminates the focus hunting that plagues many macro lenses by limiting the focusing range to infinity, allowing the lens to lock onto subjects more quickly and consistently. Second, it provides a small magnification bump for those subjects that are just a bit too small to fill the frame, even when shooting at 1:1. Third, it improves overall image quality by minimizing aberrations and correcting some of the optical problems that arise when shooting underwater through a flat port.
Together, these improvements make the MFO-1 a indispensible tool for achieving faster, more reliable focusing, greater subject magnification, and sharper, cleaner macro images underwater.
