Lens Support & Advanced Optics

Built on Nauticam’s renowned cinema housing lineup, the NA-C400 features Nauticam's patented N120 port mounting system. This offers an extensive range of dome ports and flat ports for the entire Canon RF and EF mount line of lenses.  In addition, you can take full advantage of Nauticam entire lineup of water contact optics. These optics offer superior image quality for underwater imaging and can be configured for wide angle imaging, macro imaging, and everything in between.

In addition, this same N120 port mount system is found on other models such as the NA-R5C, Raptor, and Komodo underwater housings. This allows filmmakers to use the same lens, lens gearing, and port combinations across multiple underwater cinema systems, ensuring seamless integration on any underwater production with Nauticam housings.

Ergonomic Control Placement

The housing is designed for efficient underwater operation, placing key controls along the left and right side of the housing for easy, ergonomic access to all of your essential camera controls. 

You'll find large cinema-style knobs along each side of the housing for precise manual control over focus and zoom, along with exposure, white balance, AF, and record trigger controls positioned directly at your fingertips from the handles.

The NA-C400 features both mechanical and electronic controls for a seamless user experience. The mechanical controls include Power, Zoom, Focus, and Lens Release. The Electronic controls are integrated from the camera's remote functionality and include from the left side - ‘Up’, ‘Down’, ‘ISO+’, ‘ISO-’ - the right side - ‘Rec’, ‘Fn3’, ‘Fn4’, ‘IRIS+’, ‘IRIS-’ and the main control board ‘Left’, ‘Right’, ‘Up’, ‘Down’, ‘Set’, ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘MENU/REC Review’

Integrated LCD Monitor Support

The NA-C400 is designed to accommodate the Canon C400’s detachable LCD monitor, mounting it at the rear of the camera using a supplied bracket. The shaded rear window provides optimal underwater visibility, offering a streamlined and minimalist monitoring option for those that don't want to use an external monitor.

HDMI/SDI Output for External Monitoring

The full lineup of Nauticam's monitor housings are supported with the NA-C400 using their SDI, HDMI 2.0, and HDMI 1.4 for cabling.  Surface monitoring via their 45m SDI cables is also fully supported.  Access to all of these connection types is provided by several M28 and M16 bulkhead slots available along the top and rear of the housing.

Versatile Camera Power Options

The NA-C400 housing accommodates the standard  BP-A30N and BP-A60N batteries.  For those looking to maximize runtimes and save time during the production on battery swaps, the housing can also combine accommodate one BP-A30N along with the FXLION NANO THREE 150Wh Micro V-Mount battery.  

Mounting Accessories

The housing offer multiple features multiple 1/4”-20 and M10 mounting locations all along the top and bottom of the housing.  These can be used for securely attaching components such as top handles, additional ball mounts, and other accessories.
