The Ball Adaptor Kit comes with a 1.6" long Ball Adaptor, (mount to the center of the ball), O-Ring and a Socket Head Screw.
A Ball Adaptor can be mounted into any 1/4-20 threaded hole on your housing. It has a standard 1" diameter ball so it can be used with industry standard clamps. If you need more than two mounts supplied with the Quad Ball Adaptor Kit this is what you would need to add more positions.
The ball adaptor has a slotted base to take advantage of the anti-rotation feature of XIT 404 mounts.
