Introducing Nauticam Atomos Flame Housing (with HDMI input) for Atomos Ninja Flame/Shogun Flame/Shogun Inferno 7" Monitor/Recorder

The Atomos Shogun Flame/Inferno Monitors

The Shogun Flame and Inferno recorders are field monitors that feature a bright 1500 nit 7" 1920x1200 display that supports calibration to Rec709 HDTV color standard.  In addition to being 10 bit HD monitors the Shogun can also record data directly from the Sensor to optional SSD media for supported cameras.

The Shogun Inferno features HDMI 2.0 and 12G SDI inputs and is capable (with Firmware update 9.01) of recording ProRes RAW from select cameras, most notably able to record 5.7K at 30fps with the NA-AU-EVA1.  For other supported cameras the Shogun Inferno will record up to DCI 4K ProRes 4:2:2 10-bit video with support for a variety of LOG formats.  DNxHR HQX is also available.

The Shogun Flame can currently record at up to DCI 4K ProRes HQ at 30fps and features an HDMI 1.4b and 12G SDI inputs.  The Shogun Flame is also capable of recording CDNG from supported cameras.

The Atomos Ninja Flame/Inferno Monitors

The Atomos Ninja Inferno and Flame recorders are field monitors that feature a bright 1500 nit 7" 1920x1200 display that supports calibration to Rec709 HDTV color standard.  In addition to being 10 bit HD monitors the Ninjas can also record data directly from the Sensor to optional SSD media for supported cameras.

The Ninja Inferno features an HDMI 2.0 input and is capable of recoding DCI 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 video at up to 60fps in ProRes or DNxHR flavors.  The Ninja Flame with HDMI 1.4b is limited to 30fps.  Both cameras feature support for a wide variety of LOG formats.

The Nauticam Atomos Flame Housing

The housing provides an uninterrupted view of the superb 7" screen and also provides access to the touchscreen essential functions via buttons at the bottom of the panel.

Hassle Free Installation

Installation of the Atomos Shogun or Ninja recorders couldn't be easier with the Nauticam Atomos Flame Housing.  The monitor drops in and is secured with three rotating latches.  The back of the monitor is fully accessible making media and battery changes quick and easy.

Built-In Cooling Fans

The processing power required to record professional video formats is immense, and that workload creates heat.  Shogun uses a cooling rail to dissipate heat in air, and to ensure normal operational temperatures in water the Nauticam housing uses two active cooling fans.  These fans distribute heat over the housing back panel where it can be effectively transferred into the water.

The cooling system is powered by a dedicated Sony NP-F550 Battery, providing approximately 12 hours of run time on a single charge.  An LED light and external switch allows the fans to be powered on and off from the outside of a sealed housing.

The Nauticam Atomos Flame Housing supports all Sony NP-F batteries with the exception of the NP-F970 and the Atomos NP-960 as they are too large for the housing.

Nauticam Vacuum Check & Leak Detection System

The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system, and vacuum valve, is included in the Shogun Housing as standard equipment.  This monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing.  A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
