You can capture the beauty of sea life and environments at depths as great as 328' with your Canon EOS R mirrorless camera, thanks to the black Sea & Sea MDX-R Underwater Housing. It comes equipped with a sync cord strobe connector as well as fiber-optic ports, which can be used with the separately sold internal Optical YS Converter C/R for TTL capability with Sea & Sea YS strobes. Ergonomic, mechanical controls, including levers, pushbuttons, and dials, provide access to virtually all camera functions, while dual side grips offer balance and handling, and give you attachment points for lighting arms. The housing's zoom/focus dial has two gears, one of which is dedicated to RF mount lenses.
Built for durability, the housing is constructed from precision-machined aluminum that has been anodized for resistance to corrosion, and is fitted with two sacrificial zinc diodes, front and back, to prevent electrolysis damage. The port lock assures secure operation of the housing and port during your dive, and the lens lock release button makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing.
The MDX-A7III ships without a required lens port, and accepts a series of interchangeable ports for various lenses. The optional VF45 and VF180 viewfinders can be added on to enhance your view for better shot composition underwater.
