Nauticam 45° Viewfinder
The 45° viewfinder is another option for your underwater housing. It provides an undistorted, clear, bright 1:1 image of the camera's viewfinder. When shooting through most housing's standard viewfinders reducing optics make the viewfinder image appear smaller and farther away, and corner-corner viewing is rarely possible. These "magnifying" viewfinders provide a large image, with all four corners visible, making confirmation of fine focus and composition much easier!
A knob on the viewfinder provides external diopter adjustment for your eyesight.
The body of the viewfinder can be rotated 360° for shooting at all orientations.
The 45 degree viewing angle has many benefits. The angled finder facilitates getting the housing close the bottom while maintaing a responsible diving position up off of the reef. Getting low and shooting up will make bottom dwelling subjects more impactful, and puts blue water behind portrait and wide angle shots. The 45 also causes less neck strain than straight finders by putting the head and neck in a more natural position when diving in the prone position.
All lenses and prisms are multi-layer coated to ensure minimal internal reflections which means a brighter image. During manufacture, precision griding of the optics prevents distortion.
It is simple to switch among other Nauticam viewfinders on Nauticam housings.
