I love this housing!!!!
I am a hobbyist with four years of underwater photography experience. In that time, I have owned an Ikelite for a Canon Powershot, an Aquatica for a Fuji S2, and a Sea and Sea for the D70. This housing system by far blows all of the others away.
The difference comes down to handlling. The ergonomics and balance of the housing by Subal is superior in my opinion to what I enjoyed with the other systems. This difference has made macro photography more fun than ever, even with a rig that is big and heavy.
I did not add the GS viewfinder for this rig. I did for Sherri's ND70. I have used both rigs and feel very comfortable with not having the GS finder on the ND2 housing due to the fabulous viewfinder that Subal mates with the D2X.
Take the plunge with the Subal. You will not regret it. I hated my other housings and viewed them as a necessary evil to using a DSLR underwater. I love using the ND2 housing with my new D2X and cannot say enough good things about Ryan's recommendation of this system for my camera.
If you are shopping housings for this camera, you should not settle for second best or compromise by going with another company's system. The ground glass ports are fantastic and the unit assembles without any hassle. This is in sharp contrast to my experience with my previous systems.
